This is just a free paint I did in 20 min. I was making some new brushes and I just kinda splashed around some lines and well there you go.

Medical_Illustration_Title_Page

This is a medical illustration I am working on. It is a video of all 11 systems of the body. This title page just shows a dissolved look into the body, however each system is its own illustration and in the video I am now putting together the viewer will be taken through each system one at a time. The illustrations are set up to be animated slightly in a 2.5D platform so I am looking forward to finishing the illustration to a level of greater detail and putting it all togther in a motion graphic medium.

3D Loft

This was a 3D modeling and lighting project I did in Maya. I used mental ray to render and I am still wanting to put a few more hours into this making it believable by walking in the materials and textures. I purposely did not focus to much on the detail in those areas for I wanted to experiment with lighting. I like the lighting process and believe strongly that it makes or breaks a piece in flat medium and in motion pictures. Lighting is mood, direction, clarity, depth of field, color, detail, saturation, realism or not. So I look forward to practicing more in the 3d realm as well as in the live action set.

House in the Mountains

This is just a free paint that I did kinda based off some of the concepts for Pandora (Ind Film) that I am working on. This was drawn and painted in digital format, which is a little different from the norm for me because I like to stay in touch with traditional art methods i.e. painting and drawing. After doing a ruff sketch I would generally scan it and then pant i,t however I like the speed at which I can work when going digital.

Great Pacific Octopus

This is a Great Pacific Octopus T-Shirt I did for a Local Scuba Company. It is not finished yet and there where a few changes that do not reflect in this piece. It was a lot of work to do this, it was drawn first with pencil, scanned in, and digitally painted. I used a MOUSE to paint all of this and for those of you who know what I am talking about you will feel my pain.

This was my first attempt at a city scape. It is highly influenced by my favorite little big city Seattle. Obviously it is very stylized, but I was happy with my first attempt. Colors need work but its all in good practice.

Ind_film_onesheet

This is an independent film I am working on (name TBD) and this is a onesheet concept I sketched up from ideas in the story. I am working on it with two others that are brilliant a writer and a producer, and we are collaborating on what we hope to be a very successful series. Look for it in the near future!

drawing_motion

This is a human kinetic movement study of a girl I drew from a video. The key with this is that I did not stop the video, I had to draw as she moved. I tried to just capture about 5 sec of the complete dance move. This is more or less just the walk into the dance its self, however as you can see it would be a lot of poses to do much more. Maybe another time. If you are wondering why I did this well it is a analysis of the human movement for animation. By slowing down the film and drawing every frame you can get a GREAT sense of how the body moves. I did draw this as she walked so I had to keep looping the shoot until I started to get forms from all the scribbles. Lots of FUN!
